Senior Books is the capstone class within Oakland School for the Arts' Literary Arts program. Students in Literary Arts read, discuss, and write for three hours a day, five days a week, and dedicate their senior year to the completion of a book-length manuscript. They work under the guidance of Department Chair Jordan Karnes. Covers were designed by CCA student designer, Hana Noory, under the supervision of CCA Graphic Design chair, Sarah Raffo.
These books range from collections of poetry, screenplays, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Here you'll find stories that take you lightyears ahead, beyond, behind, and everywhere in between. Each of these books were written with all the love, experience, and wisdom from Oakland's finest. So, buy a few books and then some!
